Valtesiniko - A little story
A popular destination for a nearby weekend on such days of the year is Dimitsana and the surrounding villages, such as Stemnitsa.
Jeep through mud and snow with Mike
My good friend Mike is the proud owner of a classic 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado V6 VVT-i.
Today's post is about a nice trip with this "beast" in the snow.
Henri Cartier-Bresson in Athens
Well, it's simple. Some people in their field have been unsurpassed in every sense of the word.
In photography that man was undoubtedly Henri Cartier-Bresson.
Actor Christos Malakis
Christos and I met a few years ago. We discovered that we have a lot of common acquaintances (Athens is a big town anyway). He is one of the actors…
Little trip to Peloponnese and some words for a great traveller
One of the best trips I've taken in recent years was to Arcadia.
I was again with my beloved Olga Harami. Olga is fearless, irrepressible and the perfect traveling companion for photo expeditions. I've rafted with her, walked in a forest where a bear had appeared a few days before, bumped my head on ancient stones and been at her side as driver or co-driver on endless miles of countless winding roads all over Greece.
Beauty around us / Ghent
A few years ago, we visited dear friends who live in beautiful Ghent with their cat Copper and the most beautiful little boy in the world.
Hopefully I will take photographs of this little baby and show it to you in a few years time.
A wedding in Nafplio
As you all know, I am not really fond of weddings.
Having said that, once upon a time, more than a decade ago, I accepted Katerina’s invitation to her brother’s wedding with my camera. Katerina is a very nice young woman and I was more than happy to visit Nafplio and meet these beautiful families.
Beauty around us / Aegina
When you live in Athens, one of the (many) advantages is that you can be on an island in no time.
This is exactly the case with Aegina. A beautiful island, just an hour away from the port of Piraeus.
Christening / Danae
One of the baptisms I have photographed was that of sweet Danae, with her amazing grimaces.
It was held in a beautiful church and all the people were exceptional and lovely, except for one.
I hate Weddings
Let me be frank: I almost hate being in wedding and/or christenings as a photographer. I’ve done a few of each and haven’t completely regretted it, but it’s really hard to convince me to take on such an assignment again.
Handcrafted Classical Guitars by Mr. Piperidis
Dimitris and I have known each other for several years, but it took me long enough to learn…
Beauty around us / Amorgos
Everyone knows that famous French director Luc Besson chose Amorgos as one of the main settings for his subsequently renowned film The Big Blue (1988).
What is important to note is that this endless blue characterises the entire journey by ship. Basically, all shades of blue surround you as you sail around the Aegean. This sea has no match.
The Loners - Stretching outside
During the hard times of COVID-19, I took one of the few walks outside our house and found myself…
