Short trip to Kalavrita

A PUPPIES STORY

I would really love this post to have been part of the “Beauty around us” series, but it's not.

My visit to this Kalavrita was a two-day short trip, so I didn't get to take as many photos as I would have liked, nor did I get to visit all the places in the surrounding area I was interested in.

Of course, there was plenty of time, but unfortunately I lost many hours on the way to Agia Lavra Monastery (which I didn’t get to visit after all).

What happened was that I met a young woman who was signaling strongly, asking for help and so I stopped the car. It turned out she was hiking when she noticed a plastic bag, tightly tied, on the side of the road with 5 puppies in it. Someone unconscious had dumped them on the side of the road to meet a tragic death.

After several hours we managed to find a vet, who examined them, took care of them and the next day the young woman, who was a painetr, took them with her to Patras. After a few days I learned that they were all in good health and all had found a home.

After this little adventure, I obviously didn't have much time left to explore the area, but that’s no big deal.

Next time I hope to have more time to do a proper photographic trip.
