WOUNDS

It’s been a rough time.

When something bad comes in your way, loved ones always keep the the healing balm.

DUTY

Our mother died many years ago. She was born in the beautiful city of Veroia, in the center of Macedonia. Since we live in Athens, she was buried here. Due to a strange and somewhat cruel system, our loved ones cannot remain buried in the cemeteries of our densely populated city, but after 3 to 5 years we have to keep their remains in a box.

We ought it to her spirit to move the bones to her hometown, so we made the trip to the land that once upon a time gave birth to Alexander the Great.

It was a bittersweet trip. We met many of our relatives there and I found some time to walk the streets of the city.

Not sure if the healing is over, but we feel that we did the right thing for our mother’s soul.
