The Loners - Stretching outside

During the hard times of COVID-19, I took one of the few walks outside our house and found myself in the facilities of the University of Athens campus. It is a huge open area and there are many basketball and football fields made of concrete.

While wandering around one of them, I ran into a young woman riding her bike, set it down in front of the empty goalposts and started stretching.

This is simple photo that symbolizes many things:

• It has been a very difficult time in our lives.

• Homes were transformed from cozy, safe places to something like a prison.

• At the first opportunity, we started going out for an hour or so every day.

• This young woman streches her body out in the open, but not really in nature.

• Finally, me, behind the camera, doing what I love; taking pictures of course.

This was our war.
